LUCIANO MAGGIORE & LOUIE RICE
London-based duo Luciano Maggiore and Louie Rice left their mark on the 2019 edition of LUFF with their performance for stroboscopes, whistles and hand clapping.
They are back! Active in the field of electroacoustic music, Maggiore and Rice have for years been developing a distinct interest in NO-PA / PA-ON programming: minimalist written performances in which they follow a graphic score of physical movements, triggering sound actions. Sometimes working with electronics, sometimes with acoustics only, they use the physicality of the medium and the spatial context of the venue to create unsettling events. For this new performance, the duo are announcing «a mix of heavy bass and quiet vocals with lots of movement throughout space».
